PM to Deliver First Speech after 2023 Election

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen will deliver a special speech this afternoon, his first public speech since Sunday’s election.

He has not made clear what the speech will be about, although it may have something to do with a shift in Cambodian politics. In a special audio message on his Telegram this morning, the Prime Minister announced a delay in meeting with workers, as the country waits to form a new government following the 7th National Assembly election. He said that when meetings with factory workers resume, they could be meeting with a new Prime Minister. His speech will be delivered at 2 pm on today, July 26.
